A note from Marcus
I spent eleven years in freight logistics watching luggage get destroyed for a living, then bought a $240 bag that lasted nine months. The manufacturer sent me a form letter about wear and tear. It's framed in our studio, above the sample rail.
We're a small team — eleven of us in Long Island City, plus a factory in Da Nang we've used since 2018. We don't run flash sales, we don't have a “lifestyle” division, and we'd rather you bought one bag from us in a decade than four.

The part you can't photograph
The seam that failed in Lisbon had four. Ours are stitched twice through a nylon reinforcement patch, then load-tested at 40 kg for twenty-four hours before the pattern gets approved.

First production runs are small — usually 400 to 900 units — so colorways sell through and don't come back.

Customer reviews
Pulled from confirmed orders on this store. We publish the two-star ones too.
The Voyager 40L swallowed everything I needed for 21 days and still fit the overhead on four different airlines. The harness genuinely takes the weight off your shoulders — I walked six miles in Hanoi with it fully loaded.
A wheel started clicking after a rough JFK handoff. I emailed a photo on Tuesday and a full replacement wheel set arrived Thursday with a note. That's the whole reason I'll keep buying here.
I was skeptical about paying more than the discount-store sets, but the fabric and zippers are on another level. Two years and about thirty flights in, they look brand new.
The Meridian spinner is quiet, light and holds far more than it looks like it should. Only note is that we'd love a second neutral colorway — everything else was flawless, including the two-day delivery.
I've thrown out four of these over the years. This one actually holds my head upright on a red-eye and packs down to nothing on the outside of my daypack.
The Journal
Written by our team and testers. Mostly advice that costs nothing.
Packing · 9 min
Fourteen days, five cities, cobblestones and 1930s elevators. Here is the packing list we actually use.
Checklists · 6 min
A one-page list, ordered by where things go in the bag rather than by category.
Gear · 7 min
We tested a lot of small things. These are the ones our team still carries a year later.
Travel essentials
One cube for clean clothes, one flat pouch for worn, one pouch for cables, one wallet you can open one-handed at a border desk. Buy them separately or take the set — most people start with the cube.
Why people come back
01
Every product spends at least 90 days in rotation with our travel testers before it earns a spot in the catalog. If it fails at baggage claim, it never reaches you.
02
Zippers, buckles, wheels and stitching are covered for life. Send us a photo and we ship a replacement part or a new unit — no receipt hunting.
03
We sell direct, skip the department-store markup, and never inflate a compare-at price. What you see is what a Wayfare piece actually costs.
04
Orders placed before 2 PM ET ship the same business day from our Columbus fulfillment center, with tracking in your inbox within hours.
Where our customers went
Pulled from tester logs and customer emails. Useful if you're heading the same way.
Best in April & November
Cobbled temple districts and long train days. Pack the 40L Voyager and two compression sacks.
Best in May & September
Hills, tiles and tram queues. A crossbody RFID wallet and light daypack are all you need.
Best in December & January
Wind you can lean on. Dry bags, merino layers and a duffel that survives a gravel truck bed.
Best in June & October
Ferry hops and stair-climbing hotels. Go carry-on only with the Meridian spinner.
End of season
These are genuinely the last units — we don't restock old colorways
We'd rather clear a colorway than carry it into next year's warehouse. Same lifetime hardware guarantee, same free returns.
